Cast to minix, or DLNA

Hi there,

I am looking for a similar experience to Chromecast, but using Minix, and without having to root the machine.
I think DLNA should be able to achieve what I want, but I haven't managed to make it work.

Basically I have a tablet with Win8.1 in it, and I'd like to be able to bring out the charms bar, and click "play to", and have the content rendered on the minix, which is plugged to my TV.
