Wont turn on

Hi,

I've had my Mini H plus now for 2/3 years, it has worked flawlessly until the other day.
I went to turn it on and there is no response from device. No lights, no powering/lights on the usb (in the slot).

I unplugged the power lead and a multi meter reads 5VDC which is correct, so it seems there is a problem with the device itself.

Has anyone got any ideas of what I can try to get it to work?

ITV app not working?

I am running Android 4.4.2 and the box seems great but I have an issue with the ITV app 6.3.1 which just doesn't work apart from the adverts.

The ITV app has been reinstalled numerous times to no avail.

Help me as my girlfriend is insistent the box is junk and she is insistent we pay for Sky or similar!

Web Cam Drivers

I am using a Minix NEO X8-H Plus for the 1st time and wonder would it be possible to use my redundant
Samsung Webcam VG-STC 2000 with an appropriate driver.
Bought this webcam like many thousands of others to use on Skype via A Samsung Smart (?) Tv only to find it useless as Skype was discontinued on the TV .
So would really like to use it via my Minix box for Skype.

Has Anyone done this _ A log shot I know.

Thanks in advance for any advice even if its "You Must Be Joking"

TWRP Help

Hi,
When I boot into TWRP, the ui is too big for my TV screen so I can't use it. Some of the buttons/options are off the screen.
Anyone know how to resolve this please ?

Hello,
I'm using minix x8-h plus for about 2 years.
After a lot of malfunctioning kodi add-ons and quite a lot of crashes I decided to Flash my device and install the latest FW.
I made it thorough the USB burning tool process smoothly, I got my minix fresh and ready to go -But now I can't access my network shares while using kodi.
My main network share is on my windows 10 PC, configured correctly (I had everything going good before upgrading) I can access it from all other computers on my...

Factory reset isnt working

Hi there,

I bought a minix neo 8-h plus some time ago, but the box crashes in the start screen at the moment.
Therefore I want to reset my box. But how does this work. I succeeded to come in the factory reset screen. After that I can go up and down with the volume buttons on my remote. But I am not able to press enter. None of the buttons works to press enter. I also tried to connect a usb mouse and keyboard, but that doesnt work either. I hope you can help me with my problem.

No sound after lollipop update.

Hi guys
So yesterday i installed the lollipop update on my minix neo x8-h plus.
I have no sound on any app be it kodi, showbox etc.
The weird thing is that when i press the volume button on the minix remote i get a beep .
Have tried every setting on the minix and the tv , switched hdmi ports, used an optical cable but still no joy.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Plex playback stutters and has no sound

Plex will not playback properly on my X8-H plus or on my X6. The video stutters and often the sound will not play and sometimes the playback fully crashes. I have tried all settings in plex to no avail. There are a few videos that play but I don't know why the others don't.

I assume there is an issue with minix for plex as I have two different boxes and both are the same. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

please don't just recommend using Kodi instead of plex as I have seen other people...

According to this news:

Release Candidate 2 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS firmware for MINIX NEO X8-H Plus is now available to download from the MINIX Forum.

I want to put Lollipop on my X8-H Plus,but I'm pretty much frightened that I will do something wrong.I'm not so familiar in updating firmwares.

Is there any tutorial for dummies,step by step?

What's the easiest,fastest and most secure way to do it?

Hello all,
Can someone please give me an idea on how to backup the 8xh-plus box. I mean firmware and all. Also I put in the RC2 version of lollipop 5.1 and lost my WI-Fi. I May Have done this the wrong way. Can also help me with this.

Neo x8-h plus cannot find wifi network - help

Hi,

I used this for almost few years, but today somehow the box not able to read my wifi network.

Although other gadgets able to (phone, ipad) find the network and connect without problem.

I tried to remove the wifi but resetup but the box kept saying it is out of range.

Any advise?

SOLVED - Samba Share Not Working

I recently updated my box to the latest firmware that includes the built-in samba server. When I go into the settings to enable the feature I cannot see my box on my Windows machine. I have network discovery enabled and my box has never been previously rooted in any way. Can anyone help me get this working?

Minix X8 Stuttering on YouTube & Twitch

Hi All,

I have 2 Minix Neo X8's and both of these boxes suffer from stuttering video on YouTube & Twitch. Could one of you experts tell me where I'm going wrong as YouTube works on my most basic android phone. All other videos work fine on MX player for example. Is there going to be an update to fix this or has there already been that I might have missed. Please Help as anything I watch on these 2 websites is basically unwatchable.

Connected to my Onkyo HT-R380 direct via HDMI cable

Minix settings
No output to USB audio (on)
Digital audio auto-detection (on)
Digital audio output (HDMI pass through)

Kodi 16.1 Audio Settings
Audio output device - android, audio track
No of channels - 2.0
Oitput configuration - optimized
Stereo up mix - ticked
Enable pass through - ticked
Dolby digital AC3 capable - ticked
AC3 transcoding - unticked

I cannot seem to get sound from my surround setup?

Any thoughts?

After some trepidation I decided to have a go at updating our x8 h plus to the latest firmware.
Used the laptop and usb burning tool and worked first time.
Everything seems to be working fine so far, had issues with playback on uk tv play app before update but works now together with YouTube etc.
Latest Kodi installed and working from play store.

hi guys
i did exactly as mentioned in this post burning was smooth
now i plugged the hub to my TV and power minix logo showed off my screen but now only black screen nothing else and it is taking more than 30 min !
what should i do please help
should i unplug the power ?

No Display....Blue Light On

So today my neo x8-h plus all of a sudden stopped working. The Blue light is on but no display. Tried everything, new cable, pressed the recover button along with the power button..etc..etc but nothing. Any idea what I can do to reboot it....or is it the end?
