Neo X8-h Plus - Choppy Video

Hey guys, got the Neo x8-h plus. Wired Ethernet through home network to NAS (Samba). Lately the performance has been average. A video will play smoothly, then after 15-20 minute it will go choppy and freeze. I can pause for a minute or two then resume ok for a little while, but then it will lock up again.

Got the latest OTA firmware.

Any ideas?

no sound on video

I went back to Android 4 on the minix x8 h + after trying Android 5 and the kodi kept crashing.
Now I've installed a version of mygica on Android 4. But there is no sound during video play when I mark the passthrough or Dolby Digital (AC3) receiver. When i remove the mark there is a sound. Also the system sound works while switching menus.
I had kodi 16.1 and marked the passthrough and got DD and DTS.
and the receiver gave 5.1 speaker indication and DD or DTS worked perfectly
Solution anyone?

Juat a quick question. I'm still running Android 4.4.2 on my X8-H Plus with the playstore Kodi 16.3 installed.

Can Mygica Media Centre run alongside Kodi 16 or will I need to remove Kodi 16 first.

I'd like to have both together if possible.

Problem watching 4K movies via Minix X8H plus and Kodi 16

Hello,

I have configured my Minix's HDMI output to 4k2k-30hz and when I try to play
4K movies in Kodi, the movie is in bad quality and divided into squares all over the screen.

Anyone else had the same issue? Any ideas how to resolve it?

The firmware is koth49.20141122 release keys
Android is version 4.2.2
MINIX XBMC V15.3

I've loaded up a number of addons to view movies e.g. Elysium, Genesis Reborn. Whilst the addons install ok, whilst attempting to navigate to a variety of addon folders e.g. genre, year etc, there are no movies displayed.

Any idea much appreciated.

Hi all,

I apologise in advance if this has been queried before but I am struggling to find a solution.

Prior to upgrading the firmware on my Minix Neo X8-H Plus to android 5.1, nextflix worked fine.

Since updating the box, netflix is no longer in the play store. I updated the box manually and flashed the new firmware to do this, stupidly I forgot the flash would delete everything.

I installed netflix from the netflix site and get 0013 error. I find old versions of the software (currently...

Samsung Computer Monitor Screen Problems

Android is version 4.2.2
MINIX XBMC V15.3

I now need to update the firmware.
Connected up to my Samsung TV without any problems.
So instead of trying to do everyuthing from the TV and stop the family viewing I thought I'd try and do all the updates on the dining room table cconnected up to a SamsungSynMaster 930 BF computer monitor.
When I boot up the box and I can see the flash of the Minix opening screen screen.
After this it just goes black with...

Neo x8h plus garbled sound

sound on all videos played from minix xbmc is garbled, background sounds are way to loud and coming in waves, distorting in a way speech by actors. sounds like a sound compression issue. file format (mkv, avi, mp4) does not make a difference.
tv is samsung. tried all sound settings on tv and minix but lo success. any ideas?

Hi all, please can you experienced guys help me:

Minix X8-H Plus, with latest firmware (KOT49H.20160829 release-keys), all software updates have been done, connected via HDMI to a DENON AVR-X520BT receiver.

Regardless of software used (KODI, VLC, Google Play Music, Netflix, Youtube) there is an audio interruption that occurs every few minutes (~10 min but it's variable and sometimes can happen in quick succession). I've searched the forum here and have tried all the things suggested for...

I'm trying to get solution to my problems. (Minix h8+)
1. cannot connect my minix to the usb burning tool tried everything. obviously i've managed to do this before. also i tried several computers. i'm trying to downgrad my firmware
2. no sound via spdif passthrough. everything is set correctly obviously i managed to do this before...

Minix does not connect to internet!!!!

Hi guys,

As of yesterday my minx neo x8-h plus stopped connecting to the internet. It says ethernet disconnected when i woke it up. No matter what i did it didn't work. Checked and unchecked Ethernet, even tried WiFi, but nothing would work. Finally i reset my router and it worked. So then today i turn it on again. Same thing has happened, except this time even when i reset my router, nothing works. I don't understand how this has happened as i have not changed anything. makes no sense. Please...

SOLVED - Samba Share Not Working

I recently updated my box to the latest firmware that includes the built-in samba server. When I go into the settings to enable the feature I cannot see my box on my Windows machine. I have network discovery enabled and my box has never been previously rooted in any way. Can anyone help me get this working?

Buffering when watching movies on my local network

Hi all,

I have the x8-h plus connected to my local wifi network.
The movies are on my computer.
The signal strength is excellent - yet I have severe buffering issue (movie files stop to buffer every minute or so).
When I connect an ethernet cable between the pc and the box - all seems to be good.
Any ideas?

Power supply failure?

Hi,

It looks like my power supply has malfunctioned.
I have the box for about 2 years - so I assume it is not under warranty.
If it is - please advise how to get a replacement.
If it is not - where should I buy a good quality replacement? Seen all kind of cheap fakes online - interested in a good quality.

ok heres the story... got a minix neo x8h plus plugged into my tv . it may as well be a brick.. running android 4.4.2 and kodi 16.0

now im not expert at this but ive been reading a bit and i figure you can do a firmware and android update to lolipop and bring this thing back to the 21st century...

its been a while since ive played...( think glitching rom 10's and 102's for sattelite back in the day) but im not afraid to brick this thing while doing an update. im running an ABox 912 and just...
